Christmas Lip Dub Madness!

December 15, 2016 Leave a comment

Back in the summer, I got this idea for an office lip dub video that goes through the whole building, and employees show up in different places doing weird Christmasy things. We ended up shooting the video in October and did three takes, but we could’ve used the first! Here it is and the behind the scenes video is below. I hope it makes you smile!!

Droning on…

This is a cool coffee house close to my house. I may do a video on the coffee house sometime soon and use some clips from this drone shoot.

A Ukulele Christmas

December 1, 2016 Leave a comment

A couple of years ago, I did a silly little home recording of Christmas songs, all on the ukulele. It was a fun project, so I put it up on noisetrade for free:

Give it a listen this Christmas season, and if you feel inclined to tip $2, maybe I’ll change the strings on the old use sometime soon!

A New App, Coffee, and Laughs

November 11, 2016 Leave a comment

At work, we just put out a new app (it’s pretty cool)! For the release of the app we shot a coworker at a coffee shop talking about it. Of course, when we shoot a video, there are outtakes… and plenty of laughs! ¬†Enjoy both the video and the bloopers:

What do you get when you mix a world map, twine, editing, and sound design? Here’s what I came up with illustrate the vast network of GNPI:

And here’s the Behind the Scenes video of the fun time our intern, David Velazquez and I had shooting this video:

My Spin on Light Painting

Earlier this year, I made a promo for my work. The theme was ignite, and for the logo, it was light painted with long exposure photography while I drew in the air with a lit sparkler.

To translate that into video that took various other After Effects techniques. The whole project centered around light. I did some trails with filming a light paint app on my phone in a dark room too. Lot’s of other stuff. Then we also lit fire behind a little glass globe for an epic looking shot. Here’s the final product and a behind the scenes video too:

Doodly Videos

Doodle videos are all over the place and pretty fun to watch. I’ve got a nice new developing software that I started using called Doodly. They have been incredible in making regular updates to what users are asking for. At my work, we picked up Doodly, and then I went home after using it and got it for myself too. Here are two videos (a Whiteboard and a Chalkboard) that I did at work (GNPI) using Doodly in combo with Photoshop, Premiere, and some After Effects.

A Fun Day for Star Wars Fans

Here’s a behind the scenes look at the fun time we had in our office making a Star Wars spoof for the release of “The Force Awakens.” #toomuchfun!

Epic Star Wars Office Spoof

Fun we had, with this.

My job is really cool! I get to make a lot of videos that are important in nature. Yesterday, not so much. I was tasked to create a fun Star War spoof to show our lighter side. I came up with the script, and in one day, shot and edited what you are about to see. It could be a lot better, but fine tuning points frame by frame, rotoscope masking even a few seconds is tedious. All in all, we’re happy with the final result and it’s making people laugh. So, take 45 seconds to watch, and if you chuckle a bit, share the video! It’s Star Wars day.

Behind the scenes video is coming soon.
