I would like to share with you of an easy way that you can help Muddy River Media upgrade their software and hardware… without costing you a cent.
We have collaborated with others to create a video submission for a National Video Contest. Future Shop (it’s like a Canadian version of Best Buy) has narrowed the submissions down to 10 finalists and ours is in the top ten. The video that receives the most votes will win $10,000! Muddy River Media’s share of that would really help us upgrade our outdated hardware and software and really make a HUGE difference to a small ministry like ours.
Our video is called Talking Baby and we think it’s worthy of the big prize… but our opinion doesn’t count for too much at this point. What DOES count are YOUR VOTES, so I need to get as many people as possible voting for this video.
If you can, take a few minutes during the voting period to send in some votes – and encouraging your friends and family to do the same would be swell. Remember: Think “VIRAL.” We encourage you to use this email to send to your friends so they can help out as well… tell your Facebook friends… join our Facebook group for the contest… if they can fog a mirror we’ll take their votes.
From what I understand you are able to vote for our video as many times as you’d like during the voting period. Voting starts Friday, November 28 and goes until the end of Thursday, December 11. Take a few moments each day and those votes will add up.
And, just for voting, your name gets entered into a draw for one of five $500 Future Shop gift cards.
Thanks again for your help on this. Our lone votes won’t get us very far, so your help would be much appreciated.
To see and vote for our video, click here remember… it’s the Talking Baby!

This last weekend I got to meet Darrell Evans and buy his CD at his release party in Tulsa, OK. Then I got to hear him lead worship and give a talk (interview type) on worship. This was really cool for me, being a worship leader myself, and a long-time fan of his. It was awesome for me to be in the crowd and off the stage. Darrell is a down to earth, geniune, transparent and sincere person. I got to know the songs off the new CD pretty well, as I listened from Tulsa to Brownsville (15 hours driving)!
I recommend it. Order or download here: http://www.digstation.com/AlbumDetails.aspx?albumid=ALB000024357

These are my first real shots with the new (used) Pannasonic DVC30. Please note that the quality was first compress to WMV, then compressed again by Youtube. The full-res versions are much better. I’ve gone ahead and put a “fishxpressions” watermark over it. This is too much fun. I’ve got a lot of plans, and slowly getting the equipment to be able to pull it off. Vote for your favorite of these. Send me a comment. I have to submitt three samples to www.revostock.com to see if I’ll be an approved producer for them.

Recently I went down to La Huasteca- the mountains in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. There are remote villages up there where Spanish is not even spoken. The music you hear on this is in this dialect. God is opening doors there. In one of the villages I went to, the missionary was threatened with his life several months ago. They blocked the road and had their machetes out. But we were there recently and no problem. I’ll be going back in January. Let me post something from an upcoming article of mine in Christian Video Magazine:
About one month ago I took a trip into Aztec country in the mountains of Mexico. I was able to minister in several villages where the church is just beginning to grow. In some of these places there has been persecution of Christians. In most of these villages Spanish is not the first language, and many do not even speak Spanish. I know Spanish, but I don’t speak or even understand there other dialects. I went ahead and brought my laptop, as the missionaries asked me to. I had my doubts about using my multi-media presentation of music, moving images, and illustration videos. I was thinking that I was not in Kansas anymore. But to my amazement the videos did really well. Those that could not understand Spanish could relate to the images. Some saw things they maybe never have seen before, but were moved by it. There was a lot of positive feedback. Those services could’ve gone all night, but many of the people had walked hours in the rain and mud to get there and had the same journey to make to get home again. I’m going to get some new material and go down there again soon. It was a wonderful experience seeing their faces light up. Video played a roll in this ministry.
Of course God is doing a lot more down there. Video is minor in this case. But please pray for continued success in this ministry and for more doors to open. Here’s a slide show with pictures:
